About YEWO

YEWO is pronounced YEE-woh. It is short for Year-End Write-Offs. Copperholm Labs LLC, in Wisconsin, makes it so a small-business owner can walk into a CPA meeting with a short list. It does not prepare a return.

What YEWO will not do

  • It will not prepare or file a tax return.
  • It will not tell you a deduction applies to you.
  • It will not pick a “right” S-corp salary.
  • It will not add the savings ranges together.

The rules behind the ranges are version 2026.1-draft and are pending CPA review.

Questions people ask first

How do you say YEWO?

YEWO is pronounced YEE-woh. It is short for Year-End Write-Offs.

Is this tax advice?

No. YEWO is education. It lists possible strategies, rough savings ranges, and questions so you can have a shorter conversation with a licensed CPA. It does not prepare a return and it does not tell you what to do.

Do you need my tax return?

No. You type estimates, or a simple profit-and-loss CSV. YEWO does not ask for a Social Security number, a bank login, or a copy of a return.

What does it cost?

This version is free. A paid year-end pass may come later. Nothing is charged here, and there is no account to create.

Where do my answers go?

They stay in this browser until you clear them. Closing the tab does not send them to Copperholm Labs.

Are the 2026 numbers final?

No. The limits are pending CPA review. Every results screen says so. Wisconsin tax is estimated only when you live in Wisconsin, from the 2026 Form 1-ES instructions, and that estimate is still pending CPA review.

Who is this for?

Built for small business owners: sole proprietors, LLCs, S-corps, partnerships, and families with more than one business. A household can include a spouse’s separate business and a W-2 job.

What about C-corporations?

C-corporations: we flag items, but ask your CPA. The check can record a C-corp and will note where the rules differ, such as payroll tax on family wages. It does not prepare Form 1120 or estimate C-corp tax.
